Updated: Sep 23, 2021

If you're like me, weekdays can be busy, so I don't always have as much time as I would like to make dinner. So these Oven-Baked Country Ribs with Gochujang Sauce are perfect! Delicious and easy to prepare, these pork ribs are baked low and slow, which means I can catch up on a few things while cooking. After some baking, the ribs are brushed with the most flavorful sauce and are irresistible. The sauce is mainly Gochujang, simmered with sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, and a few other goodies. The result is so flavorful and mouth-watering.

Oven-Baked Country Ribs with Gochujang Sauce:

4 pounds Country Ribs

2 teaspoons sweet paprika

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

2 teaspoons Asian chili flakes

2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Gochujang Sauce:

1/2 cup rice wine vinegar

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon Gochujang

3 tablespoons ketchup

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 tablespoons light brown sugar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

3 teaspoons Asian fish sauce

Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions.

Time-Saving Tip: Prepare the rub and sauce a day in advance.

Let's see what we need.

We're ready to cook.

Combine the sauce ingredients in a small pot. Simmer until it is reduced by about a third.

Combine the spices and sprinkle on the ribs and thoroughly coat them. Transfer the meat to a foil-lined sheet pan Cover with more foil and transfer to a 300-degree oven.

Bake for 1 3/4 hours. Remove the pan from the oven and carefully remove the foil so the steam doesn't warm your face. Coat the meat with the Gochujang sauce and return to the oven. Bake another 30 minutes until fork tender. Remove the meat from the oven and brush with more sauce.

They're ready!
