Devilishly Delicious Drumsticks

Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. That 's what I think of these Devilishly Delicious Drumsticks. These are so good right out of the oven and even at room temperature. These drumsticks give you the crunch of fried chicken but are so much healthier for you since they are oven baked. They are seasoned just right, easy to prepare and if you follow my tips the clean up is a breeze. This chicken is ideal for a weeknight meal and yummy enough for weekend entertaining. I know once you try this recipe you will come back to it again and again.

Ingredients for Devilishly Delicious Drumsticks:

10 chicken drumsticks, 3 1/2 - 4 pounds

3/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoons garlic powder

2 1/2 cups seasoned Panko

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

You will also need a gallon sized baggie, 2 disposable baking pans, and cooking spray.

Time-Saving Tips: The mustard mixture can be made in advance. The chicken can also be coated with the mustard mixture in advance and kept refrigerated until ready to proceed with the recipe. I like to combine the chicken and mustard mixture in a baggie because it saves me from washing a messy bowl.. I also, bake the chicken in disposable pans so I don't have any pans to wash either.

Let's see what we need.

Now let's cook.

In a small bowl combine the mustard, hot sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Place the chicken in a baggie and pour in the mustard mixture. Seal the bag and move the chicken around until it is well coated.

Preheat the oven to 450-degrees. Combine the panko, cheese and smoked paprika in a pie plate. Place the bagged chicken on a flat service. Cut off the top part of the baggie revealing the mustard-coated chicken. This way you don't have to stick your hand in the bag and get all messy. Taking the chicken one piece at a time roll it in the panko mixture. Place the chicken in the pans which have been coated in cooking spray. Spray all of the chicken with more cooking spray once in the pan. Put in the oven. Depending on the size of the drumsticks bake for about 45 minutes or until done. Turn the pans once during cooking.

It's ready! Look how crispy and yummy it looks. If you want to see you family smiling at the dinner table make this tonight!

Enjoy!
